Jay Cohen – Founder & Advisor
Jay is the founding partner of Monterey Wealth. His philosophy is based on three key values: provide well-thought out advice, involve
the right resources at the right time for each client, and always deliver “raving fan” service.

Jay has a diverse background that includes corporate finance, taxation, accounting, investment analysis, and executive benefits consulting. He has a Masters degree in taxation from The University of Texas, is a licensed CPA in the state of Georgia, and has obtained

the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification. He gained his business experience working at Ernst & Young, Genuine Parts Company (owner of Napa Auto Parts) and other entrepreneurial organizations. Jay’s common sense approach to wealth management
makes him uniquely qualified to coach his clients on wealth creation and preservation.

Monterey Wealth has established a successful strategic alliance with Signature Bank of Georgia to provide wealth management and retirement planning services for its customers. Signature Bank of Georgia has grown to over $150 million in assets in less than two years and has two branches (Dunwoody and Sandy Springs) and a loan production office (Forsyth County).

Jay is married, has two sons, lives in Sandy Springs, & enjoys coaching his son’s baseball team. He is involved in a number of organizations including serving on various committees
of the Buckhead Club, Board of Trustees for Quality Care for Children, and the Advisory
Board for Signature Bank of Georgia.

Jay was selected to become a member of PEAK, a national coaching organization dedicated to helping other top financial advisors grow and manage leading financial management firms. PEAK is lead by one of the country’s foremost wealth advisors, Ron Carson.

   

Robyn Barocas – Insurance & Client Service Specialist
Robyn began working with Monterey Wealth in March 2005. She has been a valuable asset in helping grow the firm. Currently, Robyn focuses on life and disability insurance underwriting and marketing and client service activities. Robyn has had numerous roles with various insurance brokers and carriers and has in-depth knowledge of life and disability insurance issues.

Robyn lives in Alpharetta, has two daughters and enjoys participating with them in school activities.

   

Terri Shaul – Securities & Compliance Specialist
Terri began working with Monterey Wealth in April 2007. She focuses on securities issues including client account set-up, portfolio maintenance, trading, and compliance. Terri is a twenty-four year veteran of the securities industry and has various securities licenses. Her vast experience has already been felt by Monterey Wealth and will be a tremendous asset as we grow.

Terri lives in Marietta and enjoys playing golf and traveling with her husband.
